The list below is the argument. Every system on it either adds a number that has to be balanced against every other number, or something to buy. Leaving them out is what makes level 90 a ceiling worth fighting under.
The classic war horse stays. It is ridden, fought from, fed and levelled — it does something, which is the difference.

No mechanism exists to inflate supply. Nothing that can be left running unattended produces gold or goods. What circulates, players put into circulation.
No item shop, no premium tier, no donation reward, no cosmetic storefront. The server takes no money from anyone, which is the only version of this promise that cannot quietly change later.
A name, an email address and a password. You will get one message asking you to confirm the address.
One download, and a patcher that keeps it current from then on.
